This new film isn't perfect, and may not be a world-changer, but it's certainly a world-pleaser.. [A] competent if uninspired action thriller.. Shooter won't win any Oscars, but it has blood and brains, and even some heart. They're splattered all over the screen.. One idea, mixed with lame jokes, and stretched beyond coherence. Vampire Academy doesn't need a review. It needs a stake in the heart.. Shooter is an honorable rather than exceptional addition to the canon.. Suspended over a deep gully...
